You can select which benefits you wish to purchase. For most of our benefits, you must enroll during your enrollment period.
Open Enrollment: May 9th - 21st This is the time when you can enroll in any benefits you are eligible for or make changes to your previously enrolled benefits.
New Hires: You must enroll within 60 days of your hire date, and benefits become effective on the 1st of the month after [60 days] of full-time employment.
FSA: For Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), you must re-enroll each year. These elections do NOT carry over from year to year. If you do not re-enroll, your current FSA will end as of December 31st.
Making Changes to Your Selected Benefits: Once you have enrolled, you CANNOT make changes to most of your benefits until the next annual Open Enrollment time - UNLESS you have a "Qualifying Event," such as:
- Marriage, divorce or legal separation
- Birth or adoption of a child
- Change in child's dependent status
- Death of a spouse, child or other qualified dependent
- Change in employment status or change in coverage under another employer-sponsored plan
Contact HR for more information if you think you may have a Qualifying Event, to confirm that you qualify and to find out the deadline for requesting a change. YOU MUST REPORT YOUR QLE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE EVENT.
